Dependency Charts

The following charts show, section by section, which earlier sections are prerequisites. The charts are separated into Calculus I (Chapters 1-5) and Calculus II (Chapters 6-10), with the second chart showing prerequisite points in the first five chapters. For section titles and topics, please open the corresponding chapter Tables of Contents from the front page. Where a dependence relation is shown, that does not necessarily mean that everything in the prerequisite section must be covered.

Note: We do not show section 1.6 in the charts. This material on significant digits is useful if you want students to make sense of numerical answers, but it is essentially independent of sections that precede or follow it.
