Chapter 5
Modeling with Differential Equations

5.6 Derivative Calculations

Section Summary

In this section we have seen how differentiation rules for sums, constant factors, powers, composites, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, and inverse trigonometric functions can be combined to differentiate rather complicated functions. We have also seen a simple graphical check on the accuracy of our symbolic calculations.
